The Four Stages of the Jesus Adventure

Does God have a message to the world today?

Yes. We discover that the real Gospel, the one that Jesus taught and which He instructed His Personal Ambassadors to teach the world, is not merely about praying one prayer. Nor about sitting in pews awaiting a blessing. The idea to ‘Pray a prayer’ and get your heaven ticket stamped is a concept that’s not found in the Bible. That doesn’t mean that it doesn’t start simply, but God has so much more for you.

There is a message and a method that transforms lives, cultures, and nations.

What Jesus did teach is that you must be ‘born again’ – born of the Spirit to even perceive the Kingdom of God (John 3:3-18). Being born the first time was a process. It was a labor of love by my mother – with my body yielding to the process – followed by a time of constant growth.

Jesus uses this word picture of Spiritual rebirth so that we will understand that we need a new kind of life – and that it takes a process of love to experience the full benefit. Even though birth is a one-day event, that’s just the beginning. There is nourishment, growth, exploring, crawling, walking, and learning until we become self-aware and situationally aware to become proficient for a larger life.

Being born of the Spirit of God begins a Journey to Spiritual Freedom, and we experience the Jesus Adventure along the way.

  • We become aware of the new life by “Starting with Jesus”.
  • As we take steps of faith to apply this new life, we are “Striding with Jesus”.
  • Third, we gain confidence to become strong against evil by “Standing with Jesus”.
  • Finally, we discover dynamic authority from possessing the promises of God, as we are being “Seated with Jesus”.

These stages of our development are vital to getting everything possible out of following Jesus and experiencing the true epic adventure He intends for us. When people feel unfulfilled in the Christian life it’s because they have not worked the process. Many are walking away, deconstructing, or losing faith because they know inside that there is supposed to be more than church as usual. It can’t just be a ‘ticket to heaven’. The truth is hidden in plain sight, and Jesus is calling us there.

Jesus called people to a true Spirituality, a new way of life, to learn of Him – and He said His burden is light (unlike the burdens this world gives us). He said He gives rest and restoration in our souls for this life, and a new destiny in the next life.

The new book, “The Jesus Adventure – Journey to Spiritual Freedom” guides the reader to discover this new life, this new birth of true Spirituality, from beginning the journey through to confident maturity. This is the journey of which Jesus said He gives us peace better than any this world can give. This is the path that Jesus said makes us free indeed. This is how we discover the fullness of the eternal life that Jesus said comes from believing in Him.
