Nik – Information Engineer, Technology and Operations Leader, Executive Producer Mission 17:11
After serving his country in the U.S. Army with many distinctions, as a Infantry Paratrooper and military organizational leader, Nik achieved high rank as a Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge over various responsibilities, which eventually included technology systems upgrade and management. After his distinguished U.S. Army career, he left military service and went to work in the commercial technology services field. Being disciplined and a fast study, Nik applied himself to thoroughly develop skills in the fields of information and communications technologies. Achieving further distinction in the rapidly advancing field of technology, he rapidly moved up and became a Team Leader and Manager within the technology systems departments of major corporations.
Having had a radical conversion to faith in Jesus Christ amid his changing career, Nik quickly learned to faithfully study the Bible. As a result, he became an avid witness of the great things that God was doing in transforming his life, which led him to serve others with the same gusto he had to serve in defense of his country. Nik’s eagerness to serve others and to openly share the word and the things that Jesus had done in his life put him into contact with many people who either had already likewise come to faith in Jesus, or who were curious and hoping to discover more. This gave him compelling opportunities to be involved in God’s work in people’s lives in the midst of the everyday world of corporate work and life, building lifelong relationships with other followers of Jesus along the way.
Nik has applied his passion for serving others, developing people, training young people and his love of American Football into a successful hobby as a volunteer Youth Football Coach for many years. Tirelessly working to develop character, sportsmanship, athletic physical development, personal discipline and team camaraderie; he has had the opportunity to train hundreds of young people during their toughest age, the Middle School and High School years, while also raising his own child as a single parent.
Already being an avid student of Government, American History, and Military History, Nik found himself craving an understanding of the Christian Faith and applied himself to understand the fullness of it’s history and its impact in the world across the past 2,000 years. At every turn, He became more and more compelled by Jesus and the significant impact that His followers have made in the history of mankind; which Nik loves to share whenever possible.
This constant desire to learn and share and serve, while applying his professional skills in technology, led Nik to work for a variety of Christian organizations, both small and large. This has deepened his desire to continue to share the Great News, the epic story of Jesus, in as many ways as possible. Joining with his friend Ian, Nik has been a collaborative leader of the inception of Mission 17:11 leading Operations, Technology and Production Management as the Executive Producer.
