Media Internship

Media Intern Role (virtual work environment – USA only):
Mission 17:11 is offering a career growth opportunity as a Media Intern. Workload is anticipated to be 10-20 hours a week, with flex time; however you must be available for 1-3 weekly scheduled meetings at mid-day times as set in advance. You will gain IT and Business operations skills, and develop a set of networking contacts in the Christian Ministry world. You will be part of a small but diversely skilled team, and will develop skills in technology development, technical analysis, project management, digital content management, marketing communications, brand management, digital publishing, customer service, and Biblical Theology.

Engagement Terms:  

Must be a disciple/follower of Jesus Christ with a desire to serve in ministry. Should have a gracious spirit toward spiritual outlaws tempered with a relentless hunger to know Jesus and His word.

  1.  Must have your own PC or Mac, and internet service that can support zoom calls and online development work. This is a WFH role, in which you may not necessarily meet the mission leaders in person.
  2.  References required.
  3. 3 month and 6 month engagements available.
  4. Active mentoring and training from IT professionals.

Career growth opportunity upon the successful growth of the Mission. This role must reside in the USA.

Functional and Technical Requirements:

  • Knowledge of content management systems, word processing programs, and image/video editing tools. OpenShot and Audacity preferred. Adobe Creative Tools a plus.
  • Digital marketing/social media marketing experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent research skills on the Internet.
  • Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, GAB and Rumble are just a few of the main social media networks that you should be familiar with. Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and other social media platforms is a plus.
  • Analytics & Reporting (audience engagement and campaign performance, knowledge of social media analytics software such as Facebook Insights, Google Analytics, and Twitter Analytics is preferred).
  • Analyze analytics to determine advertising success.
  • Understand the company’s whole idea, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other service factors.
  • Customer service and/or sales to customers abilities.
  • Make recommendations to management on ways to improve the customer experience on social media and internal procedures.
  • Learn internal software systems.

Nice to Have (but not required):

  • Marketing Communications
  • Graphic Arts Development
  • Complex Analytical Skills
  • Experience in the Publishing industry. 
  • Cross cultural experience, including non-English language skills
  • Mission work experience (On-shore or Off-shore)

Benefits:

Since we are an unfunded startup, we do not have any earnings to offer yet. As things progress, a stipend is possible, but not guaranteed. What you will gain:
