Luke 24:45-47
Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, and He said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise again from the dead the third day, and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
It reminds us that:
a. our efforts are in vain, unless God gives us the Holy Spirit’s power to open minds to understand the scriptures.
b. the central point must be the Cross and the Empty Tomb.
c. that all we have to do is clearly and faithfully call for people to turn TO GOD for forgiveness of their rebel hearts and rebel deeds, and proclaim Jesus wonderful name from where we are.
God will sort out the rest.

Our Father, please give us your life giving spirit’s power to work through us to open minds to understand the scriptures. Please work through us so that we faithfully make the Cross and the Resurrection the heart of everything. Please give us the clarity to faithfully and consistently call people with the call of Jesus to turn and receive your grace, as we proclaim the mighty name of our Savior King Jesus, from where we are right now today.
