Those who deny or qualify salvation deny the teaching of Jesus. Intentionally or not, they are false teachers.
Jesus didn’t lie. God doesn’t arbitrarily take away that which He has given by grace. See John; Chapter 3.
We, who are unworthy, are saved by Grace and made worthy through faith. The true belief that Jesus suffered and died on the cross for ALL of our sins, not some, not conditionally. This is expressly taught in scripture.
He said “Tetelestai” (In Koine, “it is finished” or our “debt is paid in full“. When people come to know Christ as their Savior, they are brought into a relationship with God that guarantees their salvation as eternally secure. This is not merely a statement in the New Testament, but is also stated various ways in the Prophets of the Old Testament.
To be clear, salvation is more than saying a prayer or “making a decision” for Christ; salvation is a sovereign act of God whereby an unregenerate sinner is washed, renewed, and born again by the Holy Spirit.
“Works” do not save. Works are “fruits” secondary to salvation, not necessary to be saved. Those fruits are how we know other believers. Jesus died for our sins. ALL of our sins, not some, not dependent on timings. We ALL are sinners, none of whom “deserve” or can “earn” the gift of salvation. It is given by His Grace. It isn’t the words, it is the BELIEF. Therefore that the main question is has a person truly believed and been saved? What does that belief entail? One must recognize they are in need of a savior to receive The Savior. Don’t believe me; “Be a Berean” (Acts 17:11) and search the scriptures for yourself. Get into The Word.
The choice is yours, the results are eternal. Jesus said “He that would save his life will lose it; but he that will lose his life will save it unto life eternal”.
Call out to God! Call to the Father and ask Him. Call to Jesus and receive Him. Call out to the Holy Spirit and be comforted by Him. It is his good purpose to bring you into relationship with Him by faith.
