1st – The people who claim the name of Christ but reject the Bible as their final authority.
2nd – The people who either add to, or take away from the Bible as their final authority.
3rd – Those who believe the Bible and do it. We may have differing styles of worship, different emphasis on Biblical practices, different locations, and different names above the door; but we hear the word and do it, as Jesus said in Matthew 7:24-27.
The first two types of “denominations” are abominations. The third type usually resulted from wolves who came along and led people away to become category 1 or 2, which forced out the people who hold to the Bible as the authority. Among those of us who hold to the 3rd type: we can go to any other type 3 church and enjoy fellowship in the truth. We may prefer different songs, prefer a different order of service, or prefer a different type of building. But we agree on The Word, The Lord Jesus, the essentials of The Faith and find unity there.
